Our instructors are a huge part of what sets Idaho Real Estate School apart. Not only do they have years of experience in the industry, but they are all currently active in the industry-keeping them up to date with current industry standards. In addition to being incredibly knowledgeable, they also strive to make sure that you enjoy your learning experience as much as possible. It’s our instructors who have made IRES the school of choice for so many agents and brokers statewide.
Mike Gamblin
Mike Started his real estate career in 1990 and opened Mike Gamblin Real Estate in 1992, specializing in residential brokerage in the Treasure Valley. Mike still remains the designated broker of the firm, overseeing approximately 15 agents.
Mike has been instructing real estate agents since 1998.
In 2004 Mike opened Idaho Real Estate School. Today IRES instructs new agents entering the business, those looking to obtain a broker’s license, and those seeking to fulfill their continuing education requirements throughout the state.
An avid believer in staying involved in your profession, Mike served as the president of the Ada County Association of REALTORS in 1998 and was appointed State REALTOR President in 2004. In 1998 Mike served as the Board Forum Chairman for the National Association of REALTORS. He holds the GRI (Graduate Realtors Institute) and the CRS (Certified Residential Specialist) designations.
Mike holds the Certified Distance Education Instructor Designation and is a member of the Real Estate Educators Association. Mike also travels out of state teaching real estate instructors methods to improve their teaching. In 2013 Mike was appointed to the Idaho Real Estate Commission by Governor Otter and served as commissioner until 2022.
Erik Bolinder
Erik’s practice focuses on entrepreneurship, business development, mergers and acquisitions, private securities, agribusiness, commercial real estate transactions and land use planning.
Erik was previously the chief legal counsel for a private Idaho-based commercial investment company involved in startup enterprise incubation, commercial real estate securities investments, and management of over two billion dollars worth of commercial property throughout the United States.
Erik began his legal career as an Assistant Attorney General for the State of Missouri and later served as a commercial litigator for a St. Louis area law firm that specialized in defending businesses in complex litigation matters.
Born and raised in Boise, Erik is actively involved in the community. He is past Chair of the Boise Area Salvation Army Community Advisory Board. He is an active leader in the Boy Scouts of America (Troop 27). He was Founding Director of the Idaho Citizens Law Academy, a community education program sponsored by the Idaho State Bar. He is past President of the Idaho Chapter, and past Area Director, of the global Entrepreneurs Organization (EO). He currently services as President of the Eagle Alliance chapter of Business Networking International (BNI). He also served as President of the Fourth District Bar Association (Boise Area Bar), and District Chair of Partners Against Domestic Violence.
Erik was honored with the Idaho State Bar Outstanding Service Award in 2001. In 2003, he received the “Accomplished Under 40” distinction from the Idaho Business Review. In 2013, he was recognized as an Idaho Leader in Law in the Idaho Business Review.
Jessica Durham
As a licensed Realtor in the state of Idaho for over eighteen years and an associate broker since 2018, Jessica has specialized in a wide array of real estate projects including residential sales, land development, market segmentation and demographics studies, subdivision and property management, and marketing strategy implementation.
Jessica combines her love of education with a passion for real estate through her instruction of Idaho Real Estate Commission certified courses offered to real estate licensees and those seeking a real estate license in Idaho. She holds a bachelor’s degree in marketing from Boise State University and an MBA from Northwest Nazarene University and uses her business background to strategically market properties and navigate the complex financial aspects of the real estate market.
Jessica serves on numerous community and real estate-focused boards and committees in the Treasure Valley. Some of her current leadership positions include:

Jim Igel
Jim was born and raised in the Chicago area where he lived until he joined the U.S. Air Force. After spending some time stationed in the South Pacific he was transferred to Mountain Home Air Force Base for his last two years of duty. He became attached to the Idaho lifestyle and vowed to relocate to Boise someday.
After his military discharge, he became employed in the aero-space electronics industry as an Industrial Engineer where he acquired extensive experience in productivity improvement, management, and cost reduction activities. Jim kept his promise to himself and relocated to Boise in 1990 and decided to enter the real estate business.
He obtained his Sales Associate license in 1991, his Broker’s license in 2008, and became a certified instructor in 2003. Jim is very active in Real Estate marketing and sales as well as educational endeavors; teaching both pre-license and continuing education classes.
Rebecca Nierodzinski
Rebecca has been calling the Treasure Valley home for over 35 years. Her career path brought her through a variety of jobs; mostly administration, customer service and coaching.
After working for a local home builder during the 2004/2005 real estate boom and subsequent market crash, she obtained her real estate license in 2007. Rebecca found a rewarding opportunity to help distressed homeowners through short sales, obtaining her SFR (Short sale Foreclosure Resource) designation in 2009. As the market recovered, she continued helping buyers and sellers with a variety of transactions including new construction, existing residential homes, land, and agricultural.
In 2014, Rebecca obtained her broker’s license and, joined by a few seasoned agents, started her own brokerage which she continues to maintain today.
Rebecca’s greatest satisfaction has always been found in helping people. Whether sharing in the excitement of buying a first home or upgrading to a dream home, she takes pride in knowing that she did her best to educate her clients through their journey to a successful closing. This passion has expanded to a desire to teach in an official capacity. Rebecca became a certified instructor and obtained her Certified Distance Education Instructor Designation in 2022. She loves to share her enthusiasm, knowledge and experiences with her students.
